In an unprecedented alliance, 10 not-for-profit, science-based European organisations, representing over 100,000 health professionals, have joined forces to reverse the rise in chronic non-communicable diseases, in particular by tackling the four major risk factors: tobacco, poor nutrition, lack of physical activity and alcohol.
The Alliance puts the case for immediate political action at European level, as chronic non-communicable diseases affect more than a third of the population of Europe - over 100 million citizens.
